About the artist
I am S.Ranseen (They/He). I started my journey as an artist in college when I took scientific illustration and life drawing classes to help me improve my lab notes for my biological and zoological classes. I had previously worked in oil and acrylic paint primarily but after those classes I fell in love with pencils, pens, markers, and paper.
My primary art styles are scientific illustration and Leather Working. I do no digital work. I am an avid cosplayer and have started mask making.
I am inspired by nouveau/deco, the Japanese master print makers, medieval manuscripts, Renaissance woodblock prints, and the impressionist.
I am open for teaching, commissions, and consultations. In my non-art life, I am a GIS specialist.
